PROTECTED ZONE
This project examines humanity’s relationship with nature through the lens of ownership and control. Inspired by a fenced-off area encountered during a hike in Tehran, I reconfigured sections of the fallen fence to create a new protected zone. This intervention, juxtaposing natural elements like stones and snow with human-made barriers, highlights the futility of our attempts to dominate the natural world, reflecting on the transient and insignificant nature of human efforts against the backdrop of nature’s vastness.

THE SKIN OF THE EARTH
Viewing farms from an airplane window evokes reflection and raises questions about the mind's response to this landscape. Is it the distance, scale, or form of the land that triggers such reactions?
This project examines the relationship between plants and root movement through minimal, stitched forms. The resulting pieces resemble the earth’s skin—fragmented and scorched, as if detached from the land or from the remnants of burnt farms. It offers a visual exploration of our complex connection to the natural world.
