UNIT

Over the course of three months, I meticulously collected 200 tin cans from university waste bins, engaging deeply with each piece to observe their evolving responses to the environment. To accelerate their transformation, I subjected the cans to controlled burning and immersed them in brine, closely monitoring the changes in texture, color, scent, and temporal fluctuations. This process was intended to highlight the essence of time, invoking themes of aging, decay, and displacement.

Through the assembly of these cans into abstract, figurative forms, I aimed to explore the intersection of time, decay, and societal structures. Each can, with its unique rust patterns and physical alterations, contributes to a collective narrative that reflects the passage of time and the interconnectedness of individual and collective histories.
